Type 410 grade of stainless steel pipes is made from a superior quality of martensitic steel, with better workability and improved toughness and strength. It also provides higher resistance from daily wear and tear but has lower resistance to corrosion than the other grades of austenitic steel. It has an almost similar chemical composition to the austenitic grades, including carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, and nickel. These materials add substance to the metal which increases its durability with resistance to wear and tear. This grade is mostly used for heat treatment and can be quenched and tempered for better toughness. This metal also provides high ductility with good strength.
