Incoloy 825 alloy pipes are built from basic elements like iron, nickel, and chromium, which provide the basic resistance to rusting and pitting in normal temperatures. Along with this the nickel alloy also possesses good mechanical properties increasing its usability in cryogenic (considerably -150°C) to moderately high temperatures ranging from 1600 degrees F to 2150 degrees F. This makes the Incoloy 825 alloy favorable for low to high temperature commercial usage. It is not advisable to use it above this temperature as it affects the toughness and elongation.
This nickel alloy is similar to the Incoloy 800 alloy, but the added chemical properties help its usage in wet conditions and provide resistance for various aqueous corrosions. It also protects the metal from sulfuric and phosphoric acids. While the high chromium content protects the metal from oxidizing environments such as nitric acid.
